It is normal to have slight bruising and dull aching after the operation, which usually lasts several days but occasionally longer. To reduce pain, please take regular paracetamol and continue to have underwear that supports the weight of the scrotum (ball bag) for at least 2 days after the operation, including at night.
Please avoid taking anti-inflammatory drugs (ibuprofen, aspirin) or alcohol in the first 72 hours as this can make the bruising worse. If you have concerns about swelling or pain, please contact Dr Morton on 01502 719925 or your own GP.
